Our Commitment to Accessibility
A large share of the people who turn to SeniorHomesGuide.com are older adults and the family members and caregivers helping them, and many navigate the web with assistive technology. We design and maintain the site with that reality in mind, and we are committed to providing a usable experience for people with disabilities.
Compliance Status
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our benchmark, since it is the standard pointed to by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the European Accessibility Act alike. In practice, that means building pages that more people can read, move through, and operate, whatever their abilities. We treat this as ongoing work: not every part of the site clears that bar yet, and we keep reviewing and updating pages to close the gaps.
Legal Disclaimer
Our accessibility work is a best effort, not a warranty. Devices, browsers, and assistive tools vary widely, and we cannot ensure that every feature behaves correctly for every person in every setting. The site, including its accessibility features, is offered on an “as available” basis, and we make no guarantees, express or implied, about its accessibility.
So, to the extent the law allows, we do not accept liability for losses connected to things like:
- Trouble reaching, loading, or using the site
- Assertions that the site falls short of an accessibility law, standard, or regulation
- An accessibility feature that breaks, behaves unexpectedly, or stops working
Using the site means you agree not to hold us responsible for disputes of this kind. None of this changes our intent: we treat reported barriers seriously and fix them as we are able, while being upfront that some fixes take time.
Tell us about a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, we want to hear about it. Reach out through our contact page and tell us what you ran into and, if you can, the page where it happened. We will do our best to help and to fix the underlying issue.
